What is Teddy’s Arena?

Teddy’s Arena is Quarter Zero’s 60-day startup accelerator. We provide early-stage startup teams with mentorship, a collaborative office space, and $10,000 of initial funding to help you take your idea to the next level.

It’s not really about the money.

Sure, the money helps, but what’s even more important is having space and freedom to build, test, learn, and repeat. Those four words are the foundation for startup success.

Every team that goes through Teddy’s Arena has access to experienced mentors who will help you embrace the principles of design thinking and lean startup methodology to take your good idea and turn it into an actual business.

What’s the goal?

At Quarter Zero, our goal is to get you through the initial phases of growing an idea into a business. By the end of the 60 days, you will pitch to a group of angel investors with to secure funding and continue the venture into the next phase.

Will QØ take equity in my company?

Yes. Quarter Zero will take 5% equity in exchange for $10,000. This is our standard deal for all  Arena startup teams.

Who is QØ Arena good for?

Teddy’s Arena is great for any startup that have raised less than $100,000 in Seed Funding. But as much as we want to make sure that you’re a good fit for The Arena, you should make sure we’re a good fit for your company!

What if my idea requires a large amount of initial funding?

Some projects require more capital than others to create an MVP or V.1 prototype. If that’s the case for your startup, QØ will work with you to create a great proof of concept to present to investors and acquire larger sums of capital.

How many people have to be on a team?

There’s no limit, but having at least a cofounder drastically increases your chances for success. The ideal team size is 3-4 fully committed individuals.

Can international teams participate in the QØ Arena?

Yes. We love working with teams from all around the world!

Can a startup team participate remotely?

No. All teams who are a part of the QØ Arena are required to relocate to Santa Barbara, CA.
