Our application process is designed to help us understand who you are, what you value, and what drives you. We aren’t going to ask you about test scores or GPAs. We want to hear about what you want to change, build, improve, and create.

Starting Your Application

1. Click here to start your application.

2. Navigate to “Create an Account” and click through to the next page. Here you will be asked to fill out basic user information.

3. Fill out requested information and select the type of application which indicated which program (QØ Startup Camp or Catapult Incubator) you want to apply for. If you are interested in applying for both programs, you can create a second application after creating your first.

4. Once you submit your basic user information, you will be taken to a "Submission" page.

5. Please select your application type under "Category" for either "Summer 2019 Incubator" or "QØ Startup Camp."

6. Then you will be taken to the application homepage. Please complete the tasks outlined on the application page to submit your application.

Application Details

The QØ Application process is comprised of four main parts:

1. Individual Information

   • This section will ask you basic information about yourself, your parents and/or guardians, and your school.

   • You will need to select a person at your school for us to contact as a reference for you. This person can be a teacher, guidance counselor, coach, or administrator. It is always a good idea to ask them before you add them as a reference!

   • Be prepared to select your preference for time and location schedule for the program and indicate whether or not you will be applying for a scholarship.

2. Short Answers

   • In this section you will be giving your Personal Pitch. This is your opportunity to show us what you value and what you will bring to QØ this summer.

3. Personal Video

   • Create a short video telling us more about yourself and why you are a good fit for the QØ program. These do not need to be heavily produced but should tell us who you are and what you value. If you need some inspiration, here are two great examples from QØ Alumni Amanda and Matt.

4. Payment

   • Our application fee is $45. If you have a reason to request an application fee waiver, please email us at admissions@quarterzero.com.

Tuition Awards

Quarter Zero offers merit-based Tuition Awards for applicants in the following categories:

• STEM Founder Award: For a Founder that demonstrates an impressive ability to incorporate STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) knowledge into his or her venture idea.

• Female Founder Award: For a female Founder who demonstrates strong leadership skills and a determination to break the glass ceiling in the world of entrepreneurship.

• Social Impact Founder Award: For a Founder with a venture idea that creates social good in the world and demonstrates an understanding of widespread impact.

• Free Agent Award: For Free Agents who demonstrate flexibility and an ability to adapt to changing scenarios, new ideas, and fluctuating team dynamics.

• Drayton Fellows Award: In collaboration with Ashoka’s Youth Venture, we are offering eight Full Tuition Scholarships for Social Venture Founders currently working with Ashoka and their partners. This award is administered and distributed by Ashoka.

• QØ Ambassador: For students willing to serve as an QØ Ambassador in your local community next school year by sharing your story with neighboring schools, hosting an event, and doing an interview for our blog.

To apply for a Tuition Award, please choose one of the categories above and answer the following in detail:

• How do you embody the requirements and description of the chosen award?

• If you are applying for a founder award, please explain how the venture idea fits into the category.
